02

Title

Algal biomass production, harvesting and separation at the pilot scale

Description

Producing algal biomass enriched in lipids and polysaccharides, optimizing algae culture in intensified PBR, validating the integrated process at the pilot scale and extracting lipids and proteins with ionic liquids to use them respectively in HEFA and HTL pathways.

Work package n°

03

Title

HTL route investigation at lab scale

Description

Studying HTL of regular and lipid-enriched microalgae, modelling the thermochemical phenomena involved in the process in order to design and upscale an HTL reactor tailored to convert Parachlorella kessleri into an upgradable biocrude. Post-treatment of biocrude is also performed.
